Signal & Strand began with a simple idea: in recruiting, most people listen to the noise — the keywords, the credentials, the trends. Our Founder, Kase, wanted to listen for the signal instead — the quiet indicators of potential, character, and chemistry that truly define great hires.
That instinct started early. Our Founder, Kase, was raised by his grandparents, Bob and Barb, in a small town where hard work and humility weren’t values you talked about — they were simply how you lived. His grandfather was the school janitor; his grandmother was the school cook. Together, they built a life anchored in purpose, kindness, and pride in every task, no matter how small. From them, Kase learned to notice people — the effort behind the titles, the integrity beneath the surface, and the humanity that never shows up on a résumé.
After more than twenty-five years leading people, transformation, and talent strategy across industries, Kase realized something: organizations are flooded with data but starved for discernment. The metrics are loud, but the meaning is faint. Kase built Signal & Strand to change that — to bring both intelligence and humanity back to recruiting.
The name reflects that purpose. The signal represents clarity, truth, and insight. The strand represents the human connections that hold everything together — the threads of talent, purpose, and potential that, when woven with care, create something enduring.
At Signal & Strand, we honor the art of finding people who not only fit the work — but elevate it.
